I adopted Lincoln from HALO and he is the sweetest pup! We had an incident where he became territorial with another male dog, so I took him back to HALO to be observed. The ladies there were wonderful with him and Regina explained to me how to read his body language so I could understand his mood. I didn’t realize there were so many different meanings for tail wagging! Lincoln loves to go visit his friends at HALO and I would highly recommend adopting a dog from them. They truly love dogs and fight for them to be able to go to loving homes.

All the staff at Halo K9 are so friendly and are so amazing with all the dogs. They take such amazing care of their dogs and they are all so knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend Halo K9.

We recently started sending our boys to HALO, after losing one of our dogs and then having pack realignment issues. We were super scared of what they were going to say about the recent dog fights. We didn’t want to have to get rid of one of our guys after losing our 19 year old. It was a heartbreaking experience. We now can honestly say that dealing with HALO has been amazing experience. These people truly understand the minds and behaviors of dogs. With their knowledge, we as owners are learning how to read our dogs behaviors better and make better decisions to set them up for success. Regina, Courtney and the whole staff should receive some sort of award for the amazing job that they do. Thank you thank you!

We have boarded our two dogs at Halo a handful of times. It truly is a doggie vacation when they go there. It is so nice and comforting knowing our pets are being cared for and loved on while we are away. They give the dogs a ton of play time and have play groups and all kinds of fun stuff for the animals. They always send us multiple pictures and let us know how our dogs are doing. I highly recommend Halo to everyone!

We are so happy we found Halo! When we adopted our pup he was scared of lots of things, and we soon realized he had some issues with reactivity and lack of socialization. Regina helped us introduce him to other dogs and now he loves participating in daycare and play groups there. We also went through the Canine Good Citizen class and he made a lot of progress being more comfortable around people and in new situations! We are still working on leash reactivity, but Halo has given us some great tools and direction.

We consulted Regina because our puppy was aggressively defending his space and possessions. We were seriously thinking of re-homing him because we couldn’t control him. She was able to help us understand and deal with his behavior problems. He’s really blossomed in response to HALO training sessions and doggy day care. He seems calmer and happier as a result. We also have been very happy with HALO’s boarding and grooming services. Now, he loves going to the facility and we are better dog owners.

Regina, Wendy, Courtney and all the staff were amazing. Patient, knowledgeable and professional. They were so kind to the dogs and were so quick to help when needed.
We will continue to use them for advanced training and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Regina and the rest of the staff at Halo are AMAZING! They took the time to get to know Archie and fully understand what help he needs. Since bringing him in his confidence has grown and I am excited to see what else can be accomplished to help him live his best life!

We have loved our time with Regina and her staff. Our puppy started displaying some unwanted and painful behaviors. We tried a trainer first and while helpful, was not helping the biting issues we were having. Regina and all the trainers there have been wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful. We are so thankful we found Halo! I also feel they are the best daycare type place we have found because they still teach the dogs how to interact and give me updates when I pick him up.

My husband and I decided to adopt a put mix from a local no kill shelter for our daughter. She has a string interest in adopting animals and especially the pit bull mixes. He came to stay with us and we noticed he had some aggression toward our other dogs and to people visiting. My husband decided to go on the hunt to find someone to help us keep him and he stumbled upon Halo..... they responded quickly to our need and from the first play/therapy date we have noticed nothing but improvements in his behaviors.....Halo has given us and our new addition to our family hope!! I highly recommend Halo to anyone with a behavior issue or just needing your dog to be socialized..... all there classes are excellent in teach us how to train our four legged animals ❤️

We had a wonderful experience taking both of our dogs here. The staff knows a ton about dogs, dog behavior, and dog handling. We did the good citizen class with our younger dog and I highly recommend the class. Thank you Halo staff for everything you have done for us and our dogs!

We’ve been bringing our rescue dog, Obi, here over the past 9 months. We first met with Regina who assessed what our dog needed to become more social and less anxious. Since then, he’s been attending Halo’s supervised play groups where he can safely be around other dogs. Regina has also come to our home to help us with Obi there too!

Halo was so helpful in our search for a family dog. They went above and beyond what we expected just to find the perfect match for us. I highly recommend Halo and am very thankful for everything that they've done for us!

I love HALO! I adopted my reactive puppy at the start of the Pandemic and had no idea what I was getting into. My dog is still a handful, but she's come so far because of the hard work the HALO staff has put into her. They're super flexible, kind, and understanding of dogs that struggle with socialization. They're also very happy to answer any and all questions you may have about training a reactive dog. I don't think I could trust any other doggy daycare (or boarder!) with my dog!

Helpful, professional, and supportive. We rescued a 5 month old stray and then Covid hit. He is not well socialized and HALO has been helping us get him used to other dogs and people. Highly recommend them.

After originally training with another place in the Dayton area that I did not like, I found Halo recommended from the SICSA website so I figured I would try them out. The training my puppy and I received was beyond expectations. The staff truly cares about how your dog is doing and makes sure they are available to you whenever you have a question. The star puppy training is phenomenal and my pup is now AKC certified as a star puppy. I will absolutely be going back to Halo for more training sessions in the future.

HALO is the only reason my dog is still alive. He has had behavior and aggression issues and we were considering putting him down. They educated us about his breed and helped get him on medication and get him properly socialized. While he still has some anxious and obsessive tendencies, he has improved significantly and we are much better equipped to handle his issues.

HALO is a small but mighty team. They are very generous towards their clients, providing discounts for rescue situations and opportunities to volunteer in exchange for boarding. I have had some difficulty recieving a response when I call, text, or email. I sometimes have to follow up multiple times in order to hear back about a query. The HALO team memers work very hard and are very empathetic towards the dogs in their care. They go the extra mile to make sure they get lots of play, space, and love--whatever the individual dog needs.

I have taken my Dane mix puppy Jack to HALO and we participate in their play groups and obedience classes to work through Jack's leash reactivity, resource guarding, and general insecurity around other dogs. I am particularly impressed by their one trainer Rachel Reed, who has helped teach our ACK STAR Puppy obedience class. She offered to work with me and Jack one on one in a private lesson, after a full day of work, on a holiday. I found her very professional and a great communicator. She always texted me back within 24 hours and was intentional about answering my questions thoroughly, as well as helping me understand training approaches that would help calm my anxiety and Jack's.

Halo is a wonderful organization. I highly recommend them. Halo has been a blessing to me and my dog.

I am grateful for HALO and their daycare for dogs with behavioral issues! Regina and the staff and volunteers are wonderful! I highly recommend HALO.

Staff were warm, welcoming, and fairly quick to serve us. Our evaluation interview was thorough and penetrating. We grow more trusting with each succeeding visit.

I absolutely love halo canine. I cannot say enough good things about this business. I have a 2 year old pit mix named nimbus he was very fearful of men. I work at veterinary associates in Xenia and was told of halo canine and the behavior training that they do there. He started off doin some training with Lou (one of the behavior trainers) he slowly was introduced into small play groups. Regina the owner told me of the canine good citizen class that they were starting. It’s an AKC registered class $140 for 6 weeks of class where they learn basic commands sit, wait, walking on leash and goin out in public. Enrolling nimbus in this class is the best thing I’ve done he has gained more confidence, manners and is no longer fearful of men. I have recommended halo’s classes to several of our clients. I will continue to take nimbus there for play groups/ training classes.

Halo and Regina are awesome! Have helped me and my puppy mill rescued dog. Highly recommend them

Regina is great! Her knowledge and expertise has and is helping us so much with our dog Otis, a stubborn St. Bernard mix. We feared the worst when we seen how he was reacting to strangers and now Regina has given me the confidence in knowing how to handle each encounter, whether at our home or out in public and I now can see that he will be a great gentle giant. Thanks so much Regina!

The care and compassion for animals at HALO is like no other. It's nice to have an animal behaviorist that will work with all types of behavior problems. This organization is one of a kind! We need more organizations like HALO in the world!
