FOSTER & VOLUNTEER
As a 501 (c)(3) organization, we rely on our fosters and volunteers...and so do our dogs!
A foster family provides a safe home environment complete with enrichment, training, and care. We train our fosters, and offer behavior modification with Regina and one-on-one training with our trainer.
HALO provides dog food, enrichment materials, veterinary care, and other supplies needed for your foster.
Our foster families must commit 100% to their foster dog. We ask the foster families to engage with the dog and follow the behavior treatment plan and basic training. The foster family is required to take their dog to and from the veterinarian, write a bio and take lots of pictures, participate in adoption events, and assist with fundraising.
If you are interested in fostering, you can submit a Foster Application or send an email and we'll contact you.
Volunteering for HALO can be many things! You can help walk dogs, clean rooms, assist with training, and work on socialization with our dogs in the Transitional Shelter.
Do you like to plan events and fundraisers? As a 501 (c)(3) organization, we are always planning events to raise monies and awareness. We have two annual events, Weekend at Tuty's and Christmas PAW-ty, that raises thousands of dollars. There are many smaller events througout the year that need planning and executing.
If you are handy and have time on your hands, we are also looking for maintenance help around the property. We need mowers, snow shovelers, builders, technology savy folks, and anyone else that has something to offer.
If you are interested in volunteering, you can submit a Volunteer Application or send us an email and we'll be in contact!
